Communing with the Ancestors

The mighty staff spears a pair of lungs that bifurcates and makes a crux. Rest for a head that no longer remembers. Guardian witness to Time’s erasure. Yet it speaks. Speaks to me of things I forgot to remember but I know. All that was is present. My nervous fourteen year old fingers fumbling with jean buttons. Drops of Ceasar’s death cry condense in my lungs. What was it Apollonius said in the cave. I know in order to forget. And forget again.
__St. Thomas, The Necromancer

Thomas van der Krogt once more demonstrates his innovative approach to printmaking. Communicating with the Ancestors. Here he dispenses with traditional supports and actually renders the drypoint on heavy duty aluminum foil! That makes this is rare print as the support does not allow for the longer print runs afforded by traditional support.
