Three Bones Society Announces Release of New Edition of Radiant Spleen Tarot
As proprietor of Three Bones Society, I have decided to add a second printing of the Radiant Spleen Tarot to our merchandise offerings. The deal is this:
It costs $25.00 with any other Three Bones Society item, including Thomas van der Krogt prints and boutique items.
As a stand-alone purchase, it costs $45.00.
Both are clearly described on the listing. If you select the $25.00 option and do not purchase the 2nd item your payment is promptly refunded. I don’t know how to make this more simple. Postage for all Three Bones Society items are flat rate, whether you purchase one or multiple items.

My reason for doing so is that I wish to introduce the value of hand-pulled prints to a larger audience. Part of the mission of Three Bones Society is to emphasize the value of work created by an artist’s hand and make original art accessible to a popular audience at reasonable prices. While I can understand why certain artists make copies of their paintings available as digital prints, I wish more would consider the prospect of working with printmakers to make original works of art. I find the cyber-age to be a bit dehumanizing. Each hand-pulled print is a unique work of art in itself physically brought into being by an artist-maker.
That being said, the printing of Radiant Spleen Tarot is digital. The cards are all hand trimmed. The new packaging is a craft paper envelope with a personalized hand doodle drawing. It’s extra work for me but I feel comfortable with how that satisfies my goal.
The original edition of Radiant Spleen Tarot sold out in its original edition. It was printed on gold metallic paper that had to be backed. It also came in a hand painted box with hand-sewn lwb. The new edition is printed on bright glossy plastic which allows for easy handling. It also features two iterations of the Lovers card. The first only had one. The lwb is available as a free pdf download.
Originally, the deck sold for $65. Recently copies have sold on Ebay for $300 or more. (Gee, no, I wasn’t a beneficiary of that.) Three Bones Society is offering good value.
Below are links for a review of the deck by distinguished artist and tarot expert Arnell Ando and an interview about the deck by visionary artist and writer Charlotte Rodgers. Hopefully, you will consider patronizing their worthy sites!
